India's GDP has reached $3.75 trillion in 2023, from around $2 trillion in 2014. Indian economy moved from the position of being the 10th largest economy to the fifth largest economy globally by 2023. India is now being called a bright spot in the global economy, the Finance Ministry said.

Digital Payments At Record High

India's digital payments touched new heights rising a whopping 65.5 per cent over the past nine years. India's digital payments ecosystem has grown from Rs 84 lakh crore in 2013-14 to Rs 139 crore in 2022-23.

One Nation One Tax

Rising GST collections are a testament to the government's vision of 'One Nation One Tax'. Through GST, indirect taxation has been streamlined for consumers and the compliance burden has been reduced for enterprises - the Finance Ministry said.

Increase In E-Way Bill Collections

A massive increase in e-way bill collections has been recorded over the year gone by. From 601.8 lakh e-way bills in FY 2021, the number touched 706.3 lakh in FY 2022.
