न तद्भासयते सूर्यो न शशाङ्को न पावक:|यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते तद्धाम परमं मम||
For today’s quote, we picked Chapter 15 Verse 6. In the Bhagavad Gita quote, Shri Krishna talks about his supreme abode. The Bhagavad Gita quote says, “na tad bhasayate suryo na shashanko na pavakah, yad gatva na nivartante tad dhama paramam mama.”
In this verse of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says neither the sun nor the moon nor fire can illumine the Supreme Abode of the Lord. Anyone who goes to this place does not return to the material world again.
Shri Krishna in this verse describes his abode. He says that it is self-luminous. There is no need for the sun, moon or fire to light his divine abode. The material realm is full of defects and dualities, however, the divine realm is full of spiritual energy which is perfect.
Lord Krishna says to Arjuna that whoever attains him, resides eternally in his Supreme Abode. Such devotees are free from the cycle of birth and death.
