Alert Over Cyclone 'Biparjoy' In Gujarat; NDRF, SDRF Teams Deployed In State | Latest Updates

Cyclone Biparjoy Updates: Saurashtra in Gujarat on ALERT; PM Chairs Review Meeting; Section 144 Imposed in Kutch. As Cyclone Biparjoy gets stronger, Kutch is placed on orange alert. We have deployed two teams in Mumbai in addition to the three teams that are currently there as a precaution due to Cyclone Biporjoy. In addition, we have relocated four additional teams to Gujarat because Cyclone Biporjoy is anticipated to have a greater impact there. According to NDRF, our troops in Pune are also prepared. Gujarat Chief Secretary apprised the National Crisis Management Committee of the preparatory measures being taken to protect the population in the expected path of the cyclonic storm 'Biparjoy' and measures being taken by the local administration. A total of 21,000 boats have been parked so far. List of all vulnerable villages have been prepared for evacuation purpose. 10 teams of SDRF are being deployed in the state.
