Mumbai: Five Drown at Juhu Beach Today; 1 Rescued, 4 Still Missing

As per the preliminary information, the drowning incident at Juhu Koliwada, Santacruz (W), was reported at 5:28 pm by BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB). Four of the five people who drowned are still missing.

Mumbai: As many as five people drowned in the sea at Juhu Beach on Monday. Out of five people, one was rescued by public members and four people are still missing. Search operation is in progress, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC said).
As per the preliminary information, the drowning incident at Juhu Koliwada , Santacruz (W), was reported at 5:28 pm by BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade ( MFB ).
Along with BMC's MFB, team of Mumbai Police , Ward staff and Ambulance are present on the spot.
In wake of the effect of Cyclone Biparjoy in Arabian Sea, the Juhu Beach in Mumbai is closed off with lifeguards and patrolling underway. Strong winds have been blowing along Mumbai's coastline on Monday, causing rising waves from the sea to begin crashing against the shore.
Since Sunday night, Mumbai has seen severe winds and rain, which have interfered with several day-to-day activities like airport flight operations.
