Bengaluru: Heavy rains lashed Karnataka's capital Bengaluru on Monday. Water logging has been reported in several parts of the city. Videos of waterlogging in Bengaluru also surfaced online.
Due to the waterlogging traffic movement was also disrupted. Traffic jams were also reported in the city. Netizens also shared videos of rain lashing the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), had issued a yellow alert for coastal Karnataka and Bengaluru till June 12.
Notably, the southwest monsoon has already entered the southern state. It is expected to advance further into Karnataka over the next 24 hours.

"The Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Karnataka, Konkan, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, some more parts of Andhra Pradesh, some more parts of northwest Bay of Bengal, most parts of SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and some parts of Bihar today, the 12th June," the IMD stated.
Fishermen are also advised not to venture into: the Central Arabian Sea till June 13. The southwest monsoon arrived in Kerala on June 8. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Kerala during the next 2 days and over Coastal Karnataka during the next 24 hours
