The company secured an impressive overall ranking of 45, surpassing renowned global names such as Germany's BMW Group, Switzerland's Nestle, China's Alibaba Group, the US's Procter & Gamble, and Japan's Sony.
Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries has shown significant improvement in its ranking, climbing from 53 in 2022 to 45 in 2023 in this esteemed listing of global corporations. Other Indian companies featured in the 2023 rankings include State Bank of India at number 77, HDFC Bank at 128, and ICICI Bank at 163.
The report added that Forbes' Global 2000 ranks the world's largest companies based on four key metrics: sales, profits, assets, and market value. The rankings utilized the latest financial data available as of May 5, 2023, to calculate these factors.
Reliance Industries' dominance is not limited to financial success alone. In 2022, the company also secured the top spot in Forbes' World's Best Employers ranking, achieving a global rank of 20. These rankings are based on extensive employee surveys, where individuals rate their employers on various criteria.
