Noida: A man from Bihar, who mysteriously disappeared from his in-laws' house in Gangania village of Sultanganj, Bhagalpur on January 31, was found eating momos in Noida after four months.
Coincidentally, Nishant Kumar, a resident of Dhruvganj, Navgachia, was discovered by his brother-in-law, who had been accused of kidnapping him. The incident took place when a momos seller in Sector 50 of Noida was evicting a man who appeared to be a beggar, with a long beard, mustache, and dirty clothes.
Nishant's brother-in-law happened to be present at the scene and instructed the shopkeeper to feed the man, assuring him that he would cover the bill. Upon questioning the man about his identity, Nishant revealed his name and address, which left his brother-in-law stunned.
The two families had been worried about Nishant Kumar's disappearance, causing strained relations between the two families. No one had expected him to suddenly reappear in this condition.
Nishant had been married to Pallavi last year, and they had moved to Mumbai after the wedding. Nishant had been working at Kotak Mahindra and owned a flat in the bustling metropolis. However, he was found in such a deteriorated state that he was barely recognizable.
After providing him with momos, Nishant's brother-in-law informed the family members via phone call. He took a photo of Nishant and sent it to the family before contacting the police. Nishant's brother-in-law then took him to the Noida Sector 113 police station.
Jitendra Singh, a police officer, confirmed that a case had been registered at the Sultanganj police station regarding the matter. The duo was instructed to visit the Sultanganj police station for further legal procedures, following which the police handed Nishant over to his brother-in-law. The police also noted that Nishant Kumar appeared extremely weak, both mentally and physically.
According to the police, a team had observed Nishant begging and eating by the roadside for 15 days. With the assistance of his brother-in-law and other acquaintances residing in Noida, Nishant has now left for Bhagalpur. Nishant's father, Sachitanand Singh, a former bank officer, had leveled serious allegations against the in-laws, including kidnapping for ransom. He had filed a complaint with the DIG and SSP, urging them to take legal action.
In response to Sachitanand Singh's allegations, the in-laws faced significant trouble as the police continuously visited their residence for questioning. However, with Nishant's recovery, there is now a possibility of reconciliation between the two families.
