  • Lesnar is on a break from WWE
Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar are set to resume their rivalry over the summer and they will lock horns at SummerSlam 2023. The two superstars have been involved in a storyline since April and have squared off twice thus far. Their storyline is likely to culminate at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that they would have another match. Cody and Brock's rivalry started on Raw after Wrestlemania 39. Brock, who was slated to team up with the American Nightmare, attacked him before their match against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
Cody and Brock faced each other for the first time at Wrestlemania Backlash, where the former Intercontinental Champion registered a win via a roll-up. At Night of Champions, Brock defeated Cody via the referee's stoppage.
WWE has been protecting Cody and there could be a case that he might walk out of SummerSlam with a win. After SummerSlam, he is expected to enter the World Heavyweight Championship picture.
As for Lesnar, he has been on a break since Night of Champions and is only expected to make a comeback in July. He isn't advertised for Money in the Bank 2023. Cody is advertised for the UK event. He might be part of the Ladder Match.
Cody to appear on Miz TV
Meanwhile, WWE has announced that Cody will be on The Miz TV on this week's Raw. This will be the second time when he will be on the show. Apart from that, the World Heavyweight Championship will also be defended on Raw as Seth Rollins will put his title on the line against Damian Priest.
This will be his first televised title defence. Rollins successfully defended his title against The Miz at the live event last weekend. He defeated AJ Styles at Night of Champions to win the title.
