Some people brave through their hardships to develop exceptional strength. Dave Walsh is such a person. The man, who formerly served in the army until 2010, had entered into strongmen competitions. Sadly, his life took a different in 2014 when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a chronic condition that affects the body's central nervous system.

The illness hampered his active lifestyle and restricted him to a wheelchair. However, Dave was determined to do his best in spite of his disabilities. After immense resilience, he earned the title of the world's strongest man by effortlessly pulling a 10,000 kg truck while being bound to his wheelchair.

Looking back at his remarkable journey, Walsh, "Learning about this illness plunged me into a state of depression, leaving me uncertain about the way forward and unsure of how to navigate through it." He had to overcome his odds and it is then that the father of three discovered disabled sports tournaments. It changed his life upside down.

He started training while being stuck in his wheelchair and is now capable of pulling a truck that weighs 10 tonnes. Walsh took it up as a challenge when his friend told him that he would not be able to pull it off. Though he holds the title of the ‘World’s Strongest Disabled Man’ this year, he is adamant about keeping the title in his name even in the coming year. This time, he hopes to challenge his body with a truck that weighs 20 and 25 tonne.

Additionally, the man will be competing for Arnold in September 2023. The competition will include a crowd of seasoned bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger and actor Sylvester Stallone.

Walsh also managed to break the Guinness World Record by pulling a ten-tonne truck.
