It seems that Ekta Kapoor is in trouble again and this time over her controversial show Gandii Baat Season 6. The new poster of the OTT web series has gone viral on social media, which allegedly mocks Goddess Lakshmi. The poster features a woman with a lotus near her waist and a section of people pointed out that it is similar to that of Goddess Lakshmi, who is seated on a lotus. Netizens further slammed the poster for the same.
Ekta Kapoor's Gandii Baat Receives Backlash
In the poster of the adult comedy web series, Gandii Baat season 6, a woman can be seen dressed in Indian attire posing next to a lotus flower. It also has two peacocks on the sides. As the poster was unveiled by Ekta Kapoor, netizens slammed her and the show for mocking Goddess Lakshmi. People feel it resembles Goddess Lakshmi, who also sits on a lotus, and they went on to slam Ekta Kapoor and the show for the same.
A user commented, "ALT Balaji belongs to Ektaa Kapoor, Balaji is present in the name itself, but the work is completely opposite, soft porn is served in it, if you are not satisfied with that, then created a similar thumbnail like Goddess Lakshmi, but a dirty woman was made to sit on the lotus. Do I find it objectionable only or do all of you also have objections?"
"Stop such filth. @TeamEktaKapoor should know better than to dish out shows, demeaning our Gods and Goddesses", wrote another.
Another user tweeted, "These are the woke people they never miss a chance to defame only one religion to make bollywoodia gang happy."
One more user wrote, "These bastards have created such a situation that there has been so much hatred in the minds of common people that even we Sanatanis have been forced to become like fundamentalists. He is giving so much mental stress that he is not able to tolerate it now."
The controversial show Gandii Baat is helmed by Sachin Mohite. Every episode has a rural Indian narrative with an erotic theme.
