In this episode of India Upfront, host Rahul Shivshankar will discuss how a "second statement" allegedly made by the case's young victim has surfaced, marking a new stage in the wrestlers' complaint against WFI president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. According to highly placed sources, the victim "retracted" the accusations of sexual harassment made against the WFI chief, which would weaken the case under the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. In this instance, Delhi accused Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual harassment. Four of them have verified Sharan Singh's alleged sexual harassment claims. One of them participated in the Olympics. A gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games was one of them. In addition, the testimony against Charan Singh was supported by a total of four people, including an international arbitrator and a state-level coach. In his testimony to the authorities, an eyewitness verified that the man had won a gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. For more than a month, wrestlers and female athletes have been protesting at Delhi's Jandar Mantar, saying that MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has sexually harassed them. Some instructors have also been charged in this case along with Sharan Singh. We are joined by a few panelists expressing their views on this issue. “First of all, let me tell you Bharatiya Janta Party is a collective of karyakartas. We have nothing to do with an individual’s actions and how they conduct themselves,” stated Vaibhav Agarwal, BJP.
