FACT CHECK: Does PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat Cost Rs 8.3 Core Per Episode? Here's The Truth Behind Viral Message

The claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly address Mann Ki Baat costs INR 8.3 crore ($1.14 million) per episode is misleading, according to India's Press Information Bureau (PIB). The bureau's fact-check unit discovered the amount quoted is the total figure of advertising for Mann Ki Baat, rather than a single episode, meaning broadcasts would not be entirely supported by ads. The show recently celebrated its 100th episode, which was broadcast live from the United Nations headquarters in New York, and is translated into 11 foreign languages.

However, the claim made in this viral message turned out to be misleading.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) fact-check unit found this claim to be fake and misleading.
