FACT CHECK: A message has been doing rounds on social media wherein it has been claimed that the Aadhaar card holders will get a Rs 3,00,000 loan under Pradhan Mantri Loan Yojana (scheme). However, when the Press Information Bureau (PIB) conducted a fact check, the message turned out to be fake. Busting the fraudulent message, PIB said that this viral message is fake.
“It is being claimed that the central government is providing a loan of ₹3,00,000 to all Aadhaar card owners,” PIB wrote, sharing a picture of the misleading message being circulated on the internet. The PIB also asked people to not share their Aadhaar-related information with anyone without checking the facts properly.

CLAIM: Aadhaar card holder will get a loan of Rs 3,00,000 under the Prime Minister's loan scheme

FACT: The claim is wrong. No such scheme is being run by the Government of India.
This is not the first time such a message has been going viral. Earlier last year in November, a similar fake message claiming that Rs 4.78 lakh loan to all Aadhaar card holders went viral.

Time and again, Press Information Bureau (PIB) has urged users to not forward such fraudulent messages carrying false claims.
