A Delhi resident who works in Gurugram got drunk and forgot that he was in his own car when he agreed to drink with a stranger who later asked him to leave and took off in his car. The man being too drunk, did not realize that he had gotten out of his own car and took an auto to the metro station and went back home. It was only the next day that he realized the incident and filed a complaint.

GTA In Gurugram: Drunk Man Forgets His Own Car After Stranger Asks Him To Get Out

Gurugram, formerly known as Gurgaon is quite infamous for its lifestyle in the Delhi NCR. The satellite city of Gurugram is again in news for all the wrong reasons. A recent report by TOI highlighted a GTA like real life incident, where a drunk man decided to drink with a stranger and forgot he was in his own car and on being asked to leave, got out of his own car and returned home using the metro, not realising until a day later what had transpired.
A recent media report highlighted an incident from Gurugram which can leave you baffled. According to the media report a Delhi resident who works in Gurugram decided to blow off some steam after work by indulging in intoxicating drinks, feeling insatiable he stopped his car again to get more liquor when a stranger asked to accompany him for drinks to which he agreed and they both drank together. The report further states that they both drove to Subhas Chowk where they stranger asked the man to leave and being in an inebriated state he forgot that he was in his own car and got out of the car, took an auto to the Huda City Centre metro station and returned back to his home in Delhi. It was not until the next day that he reailsed what had transpired and he approached the Sector 65 police station where he reported this incident. Being too drunk he couldn’t recall details about the stranger.
The report stated that Police had registered a case under Section 379 for theft. Since the complainant couldn’t recall the details of the person they will have to access CCTV footage to take note of the incident and identify the accused. The make and model of the car hasn’t been revealed yet.
