Harley-Davidson Unveils New CVO Street Glide and Road Glide Models with Powerful Engine and Innovative Features

Harley-Davidson has taken the wraps off its latest offerings in the Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) lineup, showcasing the new CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models. These limited-edition motorcycles come equipped with a new 1997cc V-twin engine, marking a new era for the iconic American brand.

Revolutionary Engine Technology

At the heart of the CVO Street Glide and Road Glide models lies an all-new 1997cc V-twin engine, featuring variable valve timing (VVT) for the first time in a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. This cutting-edge technology enhances power and torque, surpassing the performance of the previous 117 Milwaukee Eight engine. Producing an impressive 115bhp at 5020rpm and peak torque of 183Nm at 3500rpm.

Enhanced Cooling System for Optimal Performance

Harley-Davidson has also incorporated redesigned four-valve cylinder heads into the CVO Street Glide and Road Glide models. These cylinder heads are complemented by an upgraded cooling system that incorporates new channels for coolant flow around the exhaust valve areas. An electric pump circulates the coolant to ensure efficient temperature management, while a new radiator, located low on the front of the frame and backed by a thermostatically controlled fan, directs airflow below the motorcycle, providing enhanced rider and passenger comfort, especially at lower speeds.

New Infotainment and Riding Technology

The CVO Street Glide and Road Glide models feature a larger TFT screen, compared to the previous CVO models, allowing riders to select from various riding modes, including road, sport, rain, and custom. These motorcycles also come equipped with rider aids such as cornering electronically linked brakes, cornering ABS, cornering TC, cornering drag torque slip control, vehicle hold control, and tire pressure monitoring.

Upgraded Design and Aerodynamics

Both the CVO Street Glide and Road Glide models receive aesthetic updates that not only enhance their appearance but also improve aerodynamics and rider comfort. The Street Glide retains its iconic "T" shape with a sleeker overall look, while the Road Glide boasts a more defined shark nose design, integrating the indicators within the outer portions of the front fairing lights. Additionally, adjustable control vanes in the fairing center vent balance air pressure to reduce helmet buffeting at speed, while a "floating" screen design with adjustable vanes at the edge of the fairing manages the wind further.
