Hyderabad Murder: Priest Murders Lover To Avoid Marriage, Dumps Body in Saroornagar Manhole

Hyderabad: A woman was killed and her body was dumped in a manhole by her lover in Telangana, the police said. Efforts are on to retrieve the victim's body. The accused man was married and decided to commit the crime to get rid of the woman with whom he was having an affair for some time, the investigation team said.
The victim was identified as Apsara while the man under custody was Venkatasurya Sai Krishna, a priest and a builder. According to police, Venkatasurya Sai Krishna was having an illicit relationship with Apsara. Recently, Apsara started demanding legalising their relationship. She wanted Sai Krishna to end his marriage so that she can become his legal wife. This is said to have led to the crime, the Hyderabad police suspect.
Intending to get rid of Apsara, the accused brought her to the Shamshabad area and murdered her in cold blood. He dumped the body in a manhole in the Saroornagar area of Hyderabad before lodging a missing complaint with the RGI Police station.
However, in the course of the investigation, the police team found out that Sai Krishna killed the woman and dumped her body in a manhole. The accused has been taken into custody while Apsara's body remains to be found.
