Israel launched air attacks on southern Lebanon and ‘retaliatory airstrikes’ in the Gaza Strip on April 7. The raids, during which stun grenades were used, leaving several injured, were carried out on for two days as Palestinians gathered at the holy site for Ramadan prayers.
