Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door First Drive Review: Kya Mahindra Thar hai Taiyaar?

Maruti Suzuki's latest entrant Jimny 5-Door is probably one of the most awaited SUVs in the Indian market and will go on sale very soon. While the prices are yet to be out, we got a chance to sit behind the wheel of the new SUV to check if it has what it takes to pose a threat to the kingdom of already established Mahindra Thar SUV. While the Thar has managed to carve a niche for itself with rugged looks and off-road capabilities, the Jimny will target customers which are looking for an everyday practical, and modern SUV with a global appeal. ​​Under the hood, the new Jimny ​​makes use of a K15B 1.5-liter petrol engine which delivers out 103.36 bhp of power at 6000 rpm and 134.2 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. For transmission options the SUV has been provided with both manual as well as automatic units (either a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT). Check out more details in the video review above.
