The head of Russia's mercenary group Wagner said it could take months to capture the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut and slammed Moscow's "monstrous bureaucracy" for slowing military gains. Russia has been trying to encircle and capture the battered industrial city ahead of Feb. 24, the first anniversary of what it calls its "special military operation" in Ukraine. Prigozhin’s Wagner mercenaries have been at the forefront of Russia’s efforts to takeover Bakhmut after ‘capturing’ the town of Soledar in eastern Ukraine last month.
