Mumbai: The Western Railway has cancelled 20 train services between Mumbai and Gujarat from June 14 to 16 due to the impending arrival of Cyclone Biparjoy. The cyclone is expected to make landfall in Gujarat on June 14 and is likely to cause heavy rains and strong winds in the region.
The cancelled trains include several express trains, such as the Dadar-Surat Express, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Express, and the Mumbai-Gandhidham Express. Passengers who have booked tickets for these trains have been advised to contact the railway authorities for refunds.
The Western Railway has also announced that train operations will be suspended in the vulnerable sections of the railway network in Gujarat from June 14 to 16. These sections include the Veraval-Porbandar section, the Okha-Dwarka section, and the Gandhidham-Bhuj section.
The railway authorities have urged passengers to plan their travel in advance and to avoid travelling to Gujarat during the period of the cyclone. They have also advised passengers to stay updated with the weather forecast and to follow the instructions of the local authorities.

The Western Railway has taken a number of measures to ensure the safety of passengers and train operations during the cyclone. These measures include:
  • Cancelling train services in vulnerable sections
  • Suspending train operations in vulnerable sections
  • Advising passengers to plan their travel in advance
  • Advising passengers to stay updated with the weather forecast
