NEET UG 2023 Results are out and over 11 lakh candidates have qualified in the exam. Prabanjan J has topped the exam with All India Rank 1 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). He shares the position with Andhra Pradesh’s Bora Varun Chakravarthi as both of them secured a perfect score of 720.This year’s NEET-UG result witnessed dominance of candidates from Tamil Nadu as four among the top-10 rankers are from the southern state. These four candidates are Prabanjan J (AIR-1), Kaustuv Bauri (AIR-3), Surya Siddharth N (AIR-6) and Varun S (AIR-9).
Prabanjan J hails from Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. On being asked about his preparation strategy, he shared that consistent practice with the NEET pattern questions made his path easy to secue outstanding score. “Many assume NEET to be really tough, but I made it with practice,” he told a media organisation. Prabanjan also extended his heartfelt gratitude towards his teachers, parents, and the school management for their unwavering support throughout his journey.
Prabanjan appeared in Class 10 under the Tamil Nadu state matriculation (English medium) system. He then took admission in CBSE School for Classes 11 and 12. Prabanjan was a hostel resident at Velammal Vidyalaya, Ayanambakkam, Chennai, where he completed his higher secondary education. It was the rigorous NEET coaching during this period that equipped him to tackle the examination. Both his parents serve as teachers in government schools. His father B Jagadeesh teaches history, while his mother teaches Mathematics. Prabanjan scored 463 in his Plus Two examinations.
