'Play 295 by Sidhu Moosewala...', Rahul Gandhi's Request to Truck Driver Wins Internet | WATCH

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi never fails to amaze people. After pillion riding with delivery agents in Bengaluru during the Karnataka Assembly elections campaign, the former Congress president recently took a truck ride from Washington DC to New York, while he was on US trip. Gandhi took the ride with truck driver Taljinder Singh. A video of their 190-km long journey has been shared on Youtube on the official channel of Gandhi.

From differences in the working conditions of Indian and American truck drivers to the best features of his heavy vehicle, Rahul discussed a slew of topics with Singh during their travel. But what grabbed netizens' attention was Rahul's request for a song. During the truck ride, Tajinder Singh asked Rahul if he wants to listen to any song, to which Rahul sportingly replied, “Sidhu Moose Wala ka 295 lagao” (Play Sidhu Moose Wala’s 295 song)".

For the unversed, Congress leader and Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala was gunned down in an attack near village Jawaharke in district Mansa on May 29, 2022. He was taken to civil hospital Mansa where he was declared dead.

Indian Overseas Congress chairperson Sam Pitroda said Gandhi’s visit is aimed at promoting shared values and a vision of “real democracy”. “The purpose of his (Gandhi’s) trip is to connect, interact and begin a new conversation with various individuals, institutions and media, including the Indian diaspora that is growing in numbers in the United States and abroad to promote the shared values and vision of the real democracy with a focus on freedom, inclusion, sustainability, justice, peace and opportunities world over,” Pitroda said in a statement.
