Russia's state Investigative Committee is examining the alleged use of chemical weapons by Ukrainian forces near the eastern Ukrainian towns of Soledar and Bakhmut. Moscow’s probe comes even as Ukraine's Armed Forces deny using chemical weapons anywhere at any time. Kyiv has, in turn, accused Russia of engaging in disinformation and of itself using banned weapons including ‘phosphorus and chloropicrin ammunition’.
