Opposition party is furious about government's latest social media regulation move. Uddhav Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has slammed the IT ministry's fresh move which was notified yesterday. "Silencing the opposition and opposing voices is now complete, after broadcast and print now social media made defunct" tweeted Priyanka Chaturvedi. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) will have the authority to fact-check any "fake, incorrect, or misleading" information about the central government and request that social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Google remove it under a new regulation that the IT ministry announced on Thursday.
