A massive fire broke out at the Satpura Bhawan - a government building in Bhopal housing offices of various departments of the Madhya Pradesh government - on Monday night and several fire tenders were rushed to spot, who finally managed to douse the flames after over 13-hours of tiring firefighting efforts. Morning visuals from the scene showed smoke billowing from the government building, which was on fire until this morning. The coastal areas in Mumbai have been witnessing high tide as the city braces for cyclone Biparjoy, which has intensified into "extremely severe cyclonic storm", brought strong winds, rains and affected the flight operations. While authorities have been warning people against venturing into the sea, five boys were feared drowned when they entered into the sea on Monday. As people wait eagerly for the inauguration of the much-needed Parthala Bridge which will connect Noida-Greater Noida West, impatient commuters on Monday seemed to have opened the signature bridge on their own snubbing the Noida authority. Some commuters shifted the barricading on the Parthala Bridge which allowed the vehicular movement on the bridge briefly after which authorities had to intervene to close the bridge again. Violent clashes broke out in at Belra village in Uttarakhand's Roorkee on Monday evening when locals indulged in arson over an alleged murder of a person. Many were injured as locals clashed with police and even pelted stones. To ensure the law and order situation and to avoid any untoward incident, the district administration authorities issued prohibitory orders under Cr PC Section 144.
