London: London's heat is infamous for making people sick and affecting their health as the scorching sun shines bright during deadly Summers. In such a weather, standing under the sun for long hours can take a toll on one's health and a recent video highlighted the same when three soldiers fainted on Saturday.
Soldiers were taking part in final rehearsal in front of Prince William for the annual Trooping the Colour parade when three of them collapsed. As the temperatures soared nearly 30-degree Celsius, the soldiers were wearing woolen tunics and bearskin hats.
A video shared by news agency Reuters showed a military trombonist who fainted getting up again in an attempt to continue to play. Moments later medics rushed to help him.

Prince William shared pictures from the rehearsal and wrote, "Conducting the Colonel's Review of the King's Birthday Parade today. The hard work and preparation that goes into an event like this is a credit to all involved, especially in today’s conditions."
In another tweet, he said, "A big thank you to every soldier who took part in the Colonel's Review this morning in the heat. Difficult conditions but you all did a really good job. Thank you. W"

The event was a rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, an annual military parade held each June to mark the monarch's official birthday. King Charles III will oversee the ceremony on June 17.
Meanwhile, health authorities have issued the first heat-health alert of the year for six regions ahead of a surge in temperatures. It will apply to London, the East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, the South East and the South West.
