Volvo C40 Recharge EV To Debut In India On June 14th

Volvo Cars India is set to introduce its second all-electric vehicle, the crossover coupe C40 Recharge, in India on June 14, following the success of its predecessor XC40 Recharge. The C40 Recharge has a sloping roofline, can seat up to five passengers and offer conventional rear boot volume of 413 liters which can be further extended to 1205 liters. The car measures 440mm in length, 1873mm in width, 1591mm in height with a wheelbase of 2702mm and a ground clearance of 171mm. Volvo aims to transform itself into a fully electric car brand by 2030.

Volvo Cars India has announced that it will be previewing its second all electric vehicle C40 in India next month. Volvo is synonymous with vehicle safety and now it is pioneering electric vehicles as well. The Chinese owned Scandinavian car brand had earlier stated that it plans to transform into a fully electric car brand by 2030.
Volvo has announced that it will be introducing its second all electric vehicle the all electric C40 Recharge in India on June 14th 2023. This will be the second EV in the company’s product portfolio in India. The company had introduced its first EV, the XC40 Recharge in India last year. Following up on the success of the XC40 Recharge EV the company is all set to take the covers off the C40 Recharge EV which is a crossover coupe based on the XC40 Recharge.
The C40 Recharged was first introduced in the global market back in MArch 2021 and it shared a lot of parts with the XC40. The C40 has a sloping roofline. The international spec C40 is offered in a 5-seating layout, conventional rear boot of 413 L which can be extended with by flooding the rear seats to 1205 L. Being an EV it also has a storage area in the front. It measures 440 mm in length, 1873 mm in width and stands 1591 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2702 mm and a ground clearance of 171 mm. Volvo has a variety or battery and motors options in the international market but which ones will make it to the Indian market, is quite difficult to speculate.
