Arshdeep Singh picked his first wicket in the County Championship Division One 2023 as he dismissed the 30-year-old English player, Ben Foakes. In the first innings of the match against Surrey, Arshdeep scalped two wickets and gave away 43 runs. Singh is yet to make his debut for the Indian Cricket Team in the long format cricket.

Arshdeep Singh, the 24-year-old Indian pacer made his debut in the County Championship Division One for the Kent County Cricket Club. He picked his maiden wicket in the tournament after dismissing Ben Foakes for 3 in the match against Surrey at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.
On the fifth ball of the 22nd over, Arshdeep delivered a good length ball and Ben Foakes tried to defend but it hit the pads of the batsman. Arshdeep along with his Kent teammates appealed following which the umpire raised his finger to call it the first wicket of the 24-year-old pacer in the County Cricket.

Arshdeep did not just stop at one wicket but on the second ball of the 44th over, he picked Daniel Worrall's wicket to dismiss Surrey for 145 runs. In his first innings in County Cricket, Arshdeep scalped two wickets and gave away 43 runs in his 14.2-over spell.
In the first innings, Kent went on to bat first and scored 301 runs in 82.2 overs after choosing to bat first. For Kent, the 22-year-old, Jordan Cox was the main player as he scored 133 runs after facing 198 deliveries. The 21-year-old, Joey Evison played a supporting role and scored 58 runs in 107 balls. Kent currently have a solid lead of 307 runs.
Arshdeep Singh is yet to make his debut in the long format cricket for the Indian Cricket Team. He made his ODI debut against New Zealand in 2022 after which he played three matches and is yet to pick his first wicket in the 50-over format. The 24-year-old seamer made his T20I debut in 2022 against England following which he featured in 26 matches and scalped 41 wickets. Arshdeep mainly plays the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he took 57 wickets after playing 51 matches.
