They started with a bang by beating England 4-0 in the Ashes 2021–22 at home and then won a three-match Test series in Pakistan by a margin of 1-0. Oz then travelled to Sri Lanka and played a 1-1 draw. Their fourth and fifth assignments were against the West Indies and South Africa at home, which they won 2-0.
