There are many air travel hacks that can reduce expenses, help a flyer find a good seat and experience high levels of comfort during the journey.
But this new hack that netizens can't stop talking about involves the use of fishing nets to avoid paying extra baggage fees.
It went massively viral after Julie Waters sported a fishing vest as part of her airport outfit to accommodate extra items that would increase her baggage weight.
Waters took a Spirit Airlines flight to Dallas and packed entire outfits in her fishing jacket.
"This fishing vest is a great packing hack! Don't pay extra baggage fees for your flight. This fishing vest held a week's worth of clothes," she wrote on TikTok.
The only problem with the hack, said Waters, is that some people may confuse the vest for a Unabomber contraption.
The video she posted on the platform shows her palcing a week's worth of clothes on a bed before fitting it all into the large pockets of her fishing vest.
She then made her way through the airport security, where 'no one batted an eye'.
"No one batted an eye, but a friend did make a comment that someone could have thought you were some kind of crazy Unabomber-type person so that would be the biggest downside. What I really want to try is the pillowcase one, where instead of a pillow it’s full of clothes," she said.
The hack has now gone viral on TikTok as several travel hackers are using the extra pocket-laden vests to carry belongings they can't fit into their carry-on bags.
Fellow TikToker, @cheapholidayexpert, also tried the hack by stuffing several things in the pockets of her fishing vest.

“After stuffing my pants in a neck pillow and using a duty-free bag, it was only time before I reached the heady heights of leisurewear,” she wrote.
But does the hack actually work?
Many users said they have used jackets with multiple pockets in the past to carry extra belongings.
Peter Barnett, another savvy flyer said he used a fishing jacket to pack his trousers, shirts, hat, tie, and shoes - as well as his charger cables and his laptop.
"I just carry it on. They don’t know what’s in there. It allows me to have really cheap vacations," he said.
While airport rules of frisking vary from country to country, most travel experts say the vest hack can actually help people save extra baggage fees.
