NEET UG 2023 Topper Shubham Bansal From Nodia Secures AIR 16, Says Covid-19 Inspired Him to Become a Doctor

National Testing Agency, NTA declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG Result 2023 on June 13, 2023. This year, a total of 11.45 lakh candidates out of 20.38 lakh have qualified for the exam. Out of these many candidates, Shubam Bansal has secured All India Rank 16 this year.
Shubam Bansal is a student of Aakash BJYU's in Noida and due to his sincerity and willingness to follow instructions helped him achieve his rank. He has scored 720 with an AIR of 16.
Shubham belongs to a family of five where his father is a doctor himself. Though Shubham never had the dreams of pursuing the profession but when COVID-19 spread across the country, it made him aspire to join the noble profession.
During the pandemic, he realised the advantages of being a doctor. Shubham's father, who is a psychiatrist was hospitalised after being infected with covid.
He never was inclined towards engineering, but he had an interest in mathematics and now wishes to become a surgeon in future. In his past time, he played basketball for relaxation or at times went for a run. Further Shubham said that he shared relaxation at the stadium in front of his house or went for a sprint around the track. He also shared his study routines with his best friend Mukul to stay on track and for accountability
Shubham told Aakash BJYU’s, “Since I loved math, there were moments during preparation when I almost regretted my choice of taking Biology as it was my weak subject until Class X. But I never gave myself any excuses and focussed on working hard because that was the only way forward and I kept working on it. I have had days when I studied too much and had to take a complete day off just to realign with the idea of studying. Even if I did not do well in a particular test, my parents encouraged me to prepare better for the next one instead of feeling bad over the outcome.
