Crocodile Beaten To Death For Killing Teen In Bihar's Vaishali; Video Goes Viral

Angry villagers dragged the crocodile out of the water and thrashed it to death after the reptile had eaten alive a 14-year-old boy in Bihar's Vaishali. The incident took place when the family was bathing in the river Ganga. As the family was bathing in the river, a crocodile attacked the boy and dragged him into the water eating him alive.

Vaishali: A 14-year-old boy was killed by a crocodile in Bihar's Vaishali district after he had gone into the river Ganga for a bath and also to collect gangajal for a ritual as the family had just purchased a new motorcycle. This enraged the villagers who in turn pulled out the crocodile from the river and thrashed it to death. The whole act was caught on camera and the video has gone viral. The deceased has been identified as Ankit Kumar, a Class 5 student from Raghopur Diyara in Bihar's Vaishali district.
The boy's family had just bought a new motorcycle and they wanted to take a dip in the river Ganga and also collect gangajal for the puja. As the family was bathing in the river, a crocodile attacked Ankit and dragged him into the water eating him alive.

On Camera: Angry Villagers Beat Crocodile To Death

The boy's family somehow managed to gather the remains and by then a crowd had gathered near the river. The family along with the crowd dragged the crocodile out of the water and then mercilessly beat the creature with sticks and iron rods till the reptile died. The violent video shows villagers hitting the reptile repeatedly with sticks and rods which eventually leads to the crocodile's death.
Speaking on the incident, Ankit's grandfather said, "We had bought a new motorcycle and had gone into the Ganga to bathe and get Gangajal for a puja. A crocodile caught hold of him and killed him in the water. We managed to get Ankit's remains out after an hour and then the crocodile was also pulled out and killed."
