Volvo C40 Recharge Showcased In India Ahead Of August Launch

Volvo has rolled out its new C40 Recharge electric car in the Indian market and will share pricing later in August. The new C40 Recharge comes out as the second electric model in the company's line-up after the XC40 Recharge which was launched in 2022. The company further informed that after the price announcement in August, and it will initiate customer deliveries by September.

The new Volco C40 has been built on the CMP platform (Compact Modular Architecture). And it has a range of close to 530 kilometers. Moreover, the company boasts that the C40 utilizes completely leather-free interiors, making it one of a kind.

The new C40 Recharge will be available for purchase in India in six colour options - Crystal White, Onyx Black, Fusion Red, Cloud Blue, Sage Green, and Fjord Blue.

Inside, the new battery-powered crossover SUV will get a host of new and modern features such as a 12.3-inch driver display, and 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. There will also be a four-way power adjustable driver seat with lumbar support and power-adjustable passenger seats. Other key cabin highlights will include features such as keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, an air purifier, a gear lever knob, and a panoramic sunroof. The company also informed that the car's infotainment system has been co-developed with Google gets inbuilt additions such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play Store.

Volvo C40 Battery And Range

The C40 Recharge runs on a 78kWh lithium-ion battery which charges up two electric motors powering the wheels of the car. The vehicle has been rated to deliver 530 km of range on a single charge. The C40 Recharge has been offered in a single AWD version and dual-electric motor configuration. The electric motors deliver 408 hp of maximum power and a max torque of 660 Nm.
